Another guessing contest

Thanks. The reason the others don't have one is because they're so far out of scale with each other. This is the first time that they're all moderately in scale to each other. Well, this was an awesome first chapter! I enjoyed the "That's what she said" nod, the continuous reference to lots of babies, Wayne in general, and also Francesca, Toby, Wade, Nolan, Joanna and Brad. I really enjoyed the first chapter, Sprink. A lot of the characters seem really cool. In particular, I liked Lea, Nolan, Joanna, Anders, Celia, Kristy and Brad. However, I think my favorite character is Tamira, at least for now. I always like sort of deviously flirtatious characters like her, but I can see her developing beyond that. I also noticed how a lot of the characters are kind of creepy... mostly Wayne, Reeve, Anders (creepy, but not in a bad way), and... Daniel. I normally like environmentalist-y people and stuff, but he's a little bit much, in my mind. Sky Lynn was cool, but he's creepy. BTW, I have a question about your character-relations contest, or whatever it's called: Will the contestants have physical similarities, similarities with their origin/race, or will the contestants act like their relative? Or all three? Or am I way off and there is some mysterious fourth quality that helps to determine the relative? Anyway, great, great chapter. --Hey, it's Anonymos! ^{Hurry up and say hi! Aaah, I loved this premiere! I actually screamed out loud when you said all the contestants were related to a past contestant, and I screamed once before that when Shaila said she was married to Levi! And I was also laughing the whole way through. I finally get to read one of your stories when they actually premiere! I'll get to what I enjoyed in a moment, but I was wondering if you ever would consider writing in past tense instead of present tense? The obvious example of this would be to replace "says" with "said", and so on and so forth. For me, anyway, it is a bit...awkward...to read a story written in present tense (probably because I focus on past tense while writing my own chapters). But, if you don't change it, I'm perfectly fine with it. I particularly liked Brad in this chapter, due to his own little trademark he has on his name, though Wayne was very interesting as well. I think I will definitely enjoy watching to see if he overcomes his personal struggles. All in all, an enjoyable start to what should be an interesting season. As for guessing which character is related to which past contestant, I could definitely see Wade being related to Kendall. Thanks for commenting, Ult! I had no idea you read my stories. My reasons for using present tense are to give it a sense that the reader is watching the episode as it happens. I know it's kind of uncommon thing, but I don't plan to change it, as I make more mistakes with tense when I use past tense. Sprinklemist^{Cyan is the new green.}

CRAAAP. Argh, I was in school when this was posted and I couldn't guess for a winner! Anyways, I guess it's not that much of a big deal. So, onto the chapter; Nolan is immediately in my bad book. He's a great character, but I can tell that I'm not going to like his personality much during the series. Joanna, however, was hilarious. I loved her little speech on babies, and the reactions from Nolan and the "Y Girl" (I'm not going to remember how to spell her name). I find Shaila quite funny, as well. It seems to me as if she's this girl who tries to act dependent, but really goes through trouble trying to prove it. As for Wayne, I could totally imagine him there leaning on Chris' shoulder with "just a little, man, just a little!" And, Tamira's entrance was just awkward, but she seems like such a two-timer. Well, at least two-timing is conflict, and conflict is plot, and plot is good for the readers, eh? Anders was hilarious! And, I guess that's my take on almost everything. I look forward to reading more of these so-called relatives. I also get the feeling that Brad's related to someone really dorky, and it's possible that he could even be related to the first season's Beth. Thanks, guys, and sorry. It filled up relatively fast. Thanks for your in depth commentary. It helps me sort out what went well and what didn't, and to improve upon it. Wayne's arrival was probably a shock to most people, as his image looks more serious, and his profile is more serious. You just get a glimpse on his intoxicated side. The link between Anders and the sisters was his long neck (which is kind of why he's so tall, so it didn't look too out of place), and his being bookish and popular. Sabrina is the cousin mentioned in his bio that comes back from college to help him with what she can. The fact that she was in college was meant to hint at an older character, and she has mentioned college, before. I would say Nolan/Melinda was the hardest. The big clue for Wayne was him saying Reeve reminded him of his stepmother. Not many characters have a stepmother, so it could have been narrowed down that way. Lisa/Tamira, to me they look alike (if Lisa was drawn better), and I gave them similar colored eyes (somebody did guess this one right). Also their backgrounds are kind of opposite, which I did with a few of the matches. Stefan and Yancy... I purposely wanted Stefan to look older, and from the descriptions of his father that Yancy gave, I felt the bio matched fairly well (thanks to TAU for that, his idea really helped me stay away from spoiling it and talking about his current life, but instead his high school days). Nolan and Melinda's shared physical characteristic is their eye colors. Honestly, that's about the only bone I threw for that one. They were to relate in story. Melinda looked scary, but really wasn't. Nolan looks innocent, but has an incredibly dark and scary reaction to a problem, that is internal. Thanks for commenting, everyone else. Great chapter. I have an odd feeling about Nolan and Brad's secrets...ut I'm still curious as to what they are. I am loving The Black Sheep, and Brad in general. I didn't really like this chapter. I have virtually no knowledge of sports, and I thought the challenge was too drawn out and hard to understand. I'm sorry you didn't like it. I tried to keep the challenge short by making it one quarter as opposed to four. I'm a little surprised that you couldn't follow along, as I know little about football, too. But enough to write the challenge. Some of the challenges will be drawn out this time, but I'll attempt to make them more about the characters than the challenge itself. As for reasons for elimination, Toby lost the game by tripping, and losing the ball, Wade missed the field goal that could have helped tie the game, also, he led the team, and they lost. The "Pluto" thing was hilarious, right from the start of the chapter. Hedda is majorly hilarious. As shown from her little septic-tank swim, she'd obviously do anything to get her gossip, and I love how she's so casual about it at times - as if stealing a suitcase for the sole purpose of getting details isn't out-of-the-ordinary. And Brad's wardrobe-radar is pretty funny, too, as well as his line of "I can count that high". Tamira and Celia's conflict is kind of funny, and I really hope it develops more, especially since they're two of my favorites. Hedda, once again, made me laugh with her "crushes" question, and the reactions from Shaila and Joanna were funny, too. Onto the challenge - the paintball twist was funny. Tamira seems like a total Mandy, or just a stereotypical girly-girl. The "nutcracker suite" part looked painful. *shudder* And onto the elimination; Shaila's elimination was sad. Awesomerific chapter. Transformers title reference FTW. Celia mentioned that her younger sister's boyfriend broke up with her after two years...Reality would be two years ago in this time, wouldn't it? Yi Min broke up with Priscilla? Also, I love how Wayne was sexy, just for doing completely minor things, like chewing. Brad as the damsel was very much win, and so was Wayne's 'embarassing moments' line. Great chapter, Sprink. I agree that Wayne is very hard to read, since you never really know what he's gonna do. I like that there's more to Wade than just a cool nerd. I wonder if Brad really was pretending to be Daniel's friend, or if he was pretending to hate him in front of the others. Oh, Brad. Why did you do it? Why did you let peer pressure get to you? Now you're going to have some kind of guilt trip, and lose the game. That was a very dramatic chapter. One friendship endured, one failed. Celia is finally getting some development, these last two chapters...Yay!! I also am going to try to solve the mystery of the shadow figure. I already have a bit of info. It is most likely not one of The Black Sheep as they were at the ceremony and the time wouldent match and someone would have said something if anyone left early. Meaning it must be one of The All-Relative. Yay, this chapter was so good! I loved all the appearances from past contestants! Hmm for starters, I screamed when the special guests were brought out. Then I laughed for about a minute out of excitement for the chapter. I loled at Willow's random presence and exit. I felt really bad for Kristy when Sheena told her story, but I felt even worse when Frederick told Brad's. His story is very sad, but I find it very interesting that that's the reason for his attention-seeking ways. I always have thought that Brad's nationality was pretty ambiguous, so I imagine that makes things even harder for him. What else... oh, I actually laughed at Libby's grape joke. I'll be using that one in the future. XD I'm so happy for Celia and Reeve, they might just be one of my favorite couples of yours ever! Well, they haven't quite topped KendallxFiona or OpheliaxUriah for me yet, but they've trumped StacyxLogan and Yi MinxPriscilla. Speaking of Priscilla, I feel so bad for her! She seems so broken-hearted... oh well! Yi Min's reasoning for breaking up with her is something to look forward to in All-Stars, if he's in it. Nolan made me laugh again this chapter, and even though I didn't really used to like him, he's starting to grow on me. Okay, well this review was long, but so was the chapter. I thiought of having nothing besides the challenge, as I knew it would be long. XD I'm glad you felt for Brad, as I had this nagging feeling that people just wouldn't understand his struggle and motivation. His skin color was tweaked quite a bit to get it just right to be entirely ambiguous, and not obvious, so I'm glad that you noted that. I'm glad some like Reeve ande Celia (Reelia?). Reeve was originally going to be paired with... someone else. ;) But anyway, I'm glad that people enjoy them as a couple. Nolan did get some funny moments this time. This chapter was definitely worth the wait. This chapter made me laugh SO hard! I loved Joanna's hornet line at the end and Nolan's innocence. And while I know that everyone loves Stevie and all, believe me, I do too, I can't help but feel Reeve's pain. I mean, I'm a younger brother and my older brother seemed to always get the attention. I know what it's like to feel left-out or, "second best" at times. Anyway, Kendall and Eduardo's scene was full of epicness. I love great developing scenes like that, most likely because of that, I love every single epic Sprink story! Anyway, Libby's joke made me chuckle, it was nice to read about her again. That was probably my favorite chapter, so far. It revealed a lot about several characters. I went through a whole array of emotions about Brad. At first, I found him annoying, then I thought he was okay, and finally I liked him, because of that big reveal (This is the big secret that Brad thought Hedda knew about, right?). I never liked Frederick, so that still stands. I'm still rooting for my girl, Lea, although I am also supporting Brad, Celia, Joanna and Reeve. The other four I don't particularly care four (if I'm remembering who's still in correctly, I read the chapter last night.) This week gets big reviews. Thanks, guys. This was probably the chapter I had planned the longest for this story. I don't usually like to put so many revelations in a single chapter, but this one loaned itself to that, without it feeling forced. I'm glad you all liked the development, and are now embracing Brad, and Reeve, too (though I think most have liked Reeve). It was fun using my old characters, again. Libby's joke was told to me by a friend a few weeks ago. Whenever I see her, she tells me a cheesy joke (or several) and this was one of them (as well as some of Libby's earlier jokes). Oh dear...your characters shift personalities every second. At the beginning of the chapter I hated Brad, but now I feel sorry for him. Back in TD:BI, Stevie was awesome, but he seems a little inconsiderate to Reeve now...though we all know he isn't the brightest. Wade's still a little too hard to tell. As for Reelia...I was hoping for a StefanxCelia, as I never liked Reeve very much but liked both Stefan and Celia, but I guess that's out of the question. One thing for sure though--Kendall=epic, Eduardo=doubly epic, and Kendall and Eduardo bonding=an epically epic win. Eduardo's my fave character and my pic to win...so I hope he goes far. Ha. I loved the chapter. Although it practically promoted kidnapping, I loved the challenge, too. I loved Reeve with the kid and their quick discussion about his "ugly side". Eduardo winning wasn't actually seen from a mile away, surprisingly. Like Dirk's "Boney Island" elimination, I figured that Eduardo winning would be so predictable that you just wouldn't do it. Due to the fact that Eduardo is like DJ. Wayne's elimination was...meh. I didn't really like him that much. Without Tamira, he really didn't have much of a story going on. Great chapter, Sprink! How could you think anyone would hate this chapter? I LOVED IT. Of course, I might be biased since I love game shows, but still. It was great! For starters, I laughed as soon as I saw the title because I knew exactly what the challenge would be and who it was based on. I'm surprised Eduardo won again, he's pretty much on a roll. I loved the whole Plink-O thing, since I'm pretty sure I know what game it's referencing. I like how Brad bet $1 and Celia bet 1 more than Eduardo, because people always do that on the Price is Right and I find it so annoying. I'm kind of confused as to why Joanna went home. Is it just because they couldn't figure out someone to vote out? I'll miss her, she was my favorite. Lastly, after next week, we'll be at the final 5. I'm quite fearful that Reeve is going to die, or at least suffer several more serious injuries... O_O Eduardo knocking over a tree made me LOL, as did Wade being... Wade. XD I didn't know they made golden briefs. Overall, a great (though somewhat uneventful, I noticed; normally at this point in a Sprink story we'd be having a tear-jerking revalation... Another great chapter! Too bad about Brad, I'll miss him. This is such an odd final five. Normally, there's only 1 or 2 people I like in the top 5, but I actually wouldn't mind seeing Eduardo, Celia, Wade, or Reeve win! I love all four of them and I'm not sure who to root for. Wade's Main protagonist thing is currently making him the good guy. That marks him out. And, Reeve is now the main antagonist, so that marks him out. Eddy could finally not get immune this chapter, and he'll be gone.

I loved this chapter! I have to say, Reeve is definitely your most creative character EVER! Except for your Time Travel and Super Hero contestants, Reeve is the most creative, and my favorite contestant eliminated in any story. Ah, the final two. I never really pictured these two going this far. Once again, the final two is comprised of characters I thought would be out by now. And, in a weird way, both did it for their "signifigant others" (though Reeve did so intentially, and Sierra... not so much XD). @TAU: In all honesty, I've never quite expected a Sprink winner, except for Florence in TDTT (soley because we figured out his tendency to even out the number of male and female winners). I do get a winner vibe from Celia at this point (though at the story's beginning, I thought she would be eliminated right around the middle, either right before or right after the merge); even so, we all know how Sprink loves to surprise us, so Wade still has hope. Furthermore, while I am somewhat leaning towards supporting Celia (I loved her even when I thought she'd be an early-outer!), I will promise Sprink now that I will create a userbox related to sparkly eyes should Wade win. I think TDR was definitely my favorite story of Sprink's, because it had a lot of sweet, sympathy-worth characters, and no real villain. It was depressing at first, but it got better over time. Sadly, pretty much the opposite applies to TDT, in my opinion. It was a good story, but it was incredibly, INCREDIBLY dark, and there were even more vulgar moments deleted and cut out from the story. That was an epic finale, Sprink! I liked how it was very comedic, especially since Sprink stories are famed for being deep and, on occasion, dark. LOL, that was a great reunion! I really loved Tamira and Toby a lot, from "I liked his underwear" to "I'mma let you finish" to Toby finally having pants that fit (sort of XD). I totally didn't expect my Eduardo question to get in, so that gave me a laugh (along with the answer... *imagines Chef in that kitty costume XD*). I absolutely adored Reeve talking about his time with little Arianna, especially when he was talking about braiding her hair and making her a dress and stuff. Awesome reunion, Sprink! I loved a lot of things about it, so I guess I'll just list stuff: Francesca's answers, Wayne's generosity, Tamira's "money isn't important, and junk", Toby's proposal to Tamira, Toby's Kanye reference, Joanna being normal, Yesenia being in denial, Reeve and Celia's daughter, and Kristy's plastered smile when asked how she and Brad were doing. I also really like everyone saying their goodbyes, and after seeing how Kristy feels about her relationship (or lack thereof) with Brad, I'm a little more excited to see her in All-Stars. -I heart CocoRosie. 22:59, November 12, 2010 (UTC)

I'm not finished, yet, --- I'm around chapter 13 or 14ish (The one where Reeve was eliminated) --- but I have to admit... Wilderness is your best story, yet! (Not including the awesome All-Stars, of course). It was really the only one where I could relate to many of the characters, and for the ones I couldn't relate to, I surely understood. What Wilderness had that the others didn't was a much more realistic depth (But, of course, you were able to blend in some comedy without making it seem too random, or out of place) of emotions and struggles that your fans could empathize and sympathize about. I already know who the winner is (It was mentioned in one of the All-Stars chapters), but I'll continue reading to the end!

Yep, you've brought us another classic gem! The past three seasons have brought us some memorable contestants, and this season brings us 20... relatives of some of the contestants... but they're also memorable! We have Daniel the environmental activist, Wade the gamer, Hedda the gossip, Eduardo the challenge dominator, Anders the Swedish guy, and Tamira the gold-digger, among others! I like how each of the early challenges revolves around at least one of these 20 contestants... and the final challenge revolves around Chris! Many of them are really funny!

I'm currently on All-Stars now, and I bet it'll deliver too! BadAsp No matter what, a fake is a fake, and no matter how much you try to dress it up, the real thing always wins! 13:42, March 30, 2012 (UTC)
